9 Items I must Travel With | Beauty & Fashion

Sony a5100 | Adidas Sneakers | Bose Headphones | Dry Shampoo | Cleansing Balm | Organic BB+ Cream | Perfect Fit Protein | Stila Liquid Lipstick | Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette

Lately I’ve been traveling a lot, so it got me thinking…”What are my must-haves right now for when I travel?”

I rummaged through my halfway unpacked bag ( I just got back from Charleston ), and found the items that I’ve consistently taken with me for my recent stay-cation and travels. Today I’ll be leaving with Tony to Turks & Caicos for my birthday week,  I will definitely be taking these products along!

{ The Sony a5100 Camera pictured above, is the ‘goldilocks’ of cameras. It’s not too big, not too small & user friendly. It’s a great camera for blogging! The photos in this post were taken with this camera, except for the first one and the last two. You can see the images are clear, crisp and bright. }

This travel-sized Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo is awesome! No white residue. No funny smell. No Sticky hair. It’s great to use after I workout, a beach day, anytime I need to freshen up my hair. These ‘Stan Smith’ all white Adidas are my ultimate favorite right now. They are comfortable and cute! They go well with skirts, dresses and cut-off shorts too. The REN Cleansing Balm is great for melting down my makeup. It smells great and leaves my skin super clean. It is also good for all skin types and is NOT formulated with any of the yucky stuff like, parabens, sulphates, mineral oil or synthetic fragrance.

I LOVE these individual protein packets by Perfect Fit! I do try to get some workouts in when I’m away. So to make sure I get enough protein and fuel my body I have to have these! Perfect Protein is plant-based, organic, non-GMO and sugar-free. These packets are just so easy to travel with! I don’t like fussing too much with my makeup when I’m out-and-about. And  liquid lipstick stays on your lips for hours. Stila, in my opinion, makes one of the best liquid lipstick formulas. ‘Baci,’ is the perfect nude pink color and will go with any outfit. Finally, I can’t go anywhere without my Modern Renaissance palette! The shades and the formula of these eyeshadows are just so good!

Top 5 Nude-pink lipsticks 5 Nude-Pink lipstick swatch

Sephora Rouge CreamDecollete | Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick – Bare It All | Lancôme Shine LoverTwisted Beige | ColourPopCookie | Buxom Full-On Lipstick – Sydney

These are my current Top 5 nude-pink lipsticks.

Decollete, is definitely more of a warm rose-nude shade. In my opinion, it goes well with almost any look and compliments many skin tones. The Sephora Rouge Cream Lipsticks are highly pigmented, affordable, and the formula is hydrating + creamy. And this shade makes my teeth look a lot whiter (bonus)!

Bare It All, is my perfect go-to warm nude shade. And at just under $2USD, you can bare to grab a bunch next time you’re at your local drugstore! I actually own 3. I find that the MegaLast lipstick formula is longwearing on me + not very drying to my lips. I like to apply a balm on my lips first under most of my lipsticks anyway, just for an extra boost of hydration. MegaLast claims to be a long-lasting 4-hour formula. For me, I find that I have to touch up after about 2–2.5 hours.

Twisted Beige, is a beautiful + subtle cool-toned pink-nude shade. Lancôme Shine Lover is a hydrating glossy lipstick. It’s the perfect marriage between a lipstick and a gloss, with out being too glossy (does that make sense?). It’s such a pretty color. I really love this formula. it’s very comfortable to wear and great for everyday.

Cookie. Oh, Cookie-Cookie…I love my Lippie Stix‘s from at ColourPop! I own MANY! And Cookie is definitely another go-to warm-toned nude for me. When in doubt, I choose Cookie. This shade is a matte formula. So if you’re not into the matte lipsticks, don’t go for this one. The Lippie Stix formula is not long lasting but the colors are so pigmented and pretty, that I can overlook this minor detail. And because they are so affordable I can’t really complain. And ColourPop just launched their new Fall 2015 collection, so go check it out!

And my final fave is Sydney. I own 3 Buxom Full-On lipsticks. Sydney is a cool-toned pinkish-nude shade. This lip-tingling lipstick is matte, yet hydrating. The tingling sensation it gives my lips is NOT overpowering. I actually avoid buying products that claim to be lip-plumping + tingley because my lips actually feel like they’re burning! But not with the Full-On lipsticks. The sensation is very mild. I also like how the product is shaped. It’s like I’m applying a lip liner. I can be more precise. And for those with smaller lips, this will great. It also comes with a built-in sharpener to keep that perfect point!

{ Black Jeggings | Pullover Sweater | Flowy Cowlneck Top Olive Dress | Panama Hat  | Knotted Necklace  | Ivory Trench | Liquid Lipstick | Night Balm  }

This is what I’ve had my eye on lately… So naturally, they’ve made my Wednesday Wish List Series. I usually accumulate a list over the course of a couple of nights. I like browsing around online while sipping on tea.

I noticed I actually like a lot of outfits from Splendid. I didn’t really notice that until I started working on this post. But I like that the looks are still chic but comfy. I can see myself wearing those cute new jeggings with a slightly oversized lightweight sweater, while running errands. I would still look put together but be COMFORTABLE. Which is EVERYTHING to me as a stay-at-home-mom!  Of course here in Florida we don’t get a typical Fall or Winter (*sigh), but I definitely like to dress the part as much as I can!

The Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade DAMNED – a black cherry color, is a cool vampy shade + perfectly on trend for the season. I’m not afraid of dark or bright lip shades. I have fun with makeup + enjoy trying something new!

This SLEEP TIGHT FIRMING NIGHT BALM by Farmacy, is a new product at Sephora. I’m all about getting benefits while sleeping! I love trying night treatments and sleep masks. This one has good reviews thus far online…something to try.

Beauty Re-purchases: L’Occitane, Fresh, First Aid Beauty, NYX + St. Tropez

{ NYX Butter Gloss, shade: Merengue }

Beauty re-purchases are about the products that keep us coming back. We all have our cult favorites, and also new products we discover that then quickly become part of our beauty routine.

The following products are my most recent re-purchases. They’ve worked for me, I’ve enjoyed using them and they are products that I consider to be worth my mulah— *A.K.A cash money!

First up, is one of my cult classics, the L’Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil. I’ve been using this product off-and-on for years, and I will continue to buy it. It is such a lovely, delicate and luxurious treat in the shower or bath. This shower oil is a body cleanser, it lightly foams up as you work it onto your skin. I love the way it hydrates and smooths my skin. After I take a hot shower or bath my skin feels so soft, looks luminous and hydrated. I love using it mostly for shaving- IT IS THE BEST SHAVE EVER!

The Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil by Fresh has been a part of my skin care routine since February. I love facial oils. I bought the smaller 0.5 oz at the time and I still have a little product left in that bottle before I open up my new one. But for the size, I think it has lasted me a good amount of time. I put 2 drops onto my fingertips, then I rub my hands together and I gently pat the oil onto my face. It absorbs into my skin quickly and my face does NOT feel oily. Since using the Seaberry oil my skin feels moisturized, looks healthy (like I drank 20 glasses of water), and feel like it has helped balance my skin. I usually have combination skin with an oily T-zone. But the face oil has seemed to balance my skin out. Not too dry, not too oily. It’s the ‘Goldilocks’ of face oils.

I bought the St. Tropez tan applicator mitt again because It’s the best mitt, in my opinion, to apply my self tanner with. I’ve tried a couple other brands and St. Tropez’s mitt holds up the longest. It’s just a really great tool to use for applying my self tanners evenly and easily.

I’m still a fan of First Aid Beauty. I started using their products 4-5 months ago, and the cleansing wipes and facial radiance pads continue to be frequent re-purchases of mine. I keep a packet of wipes in my gym bag, my purse and in my bathroom. These towelettes effectively remove any make up, sweat, grime, or whatever from my skin. I love how clean my skin is afterwards and it does NOT leave an oily residue behind like some other cleansing wipes I’ve tried. The cleansing wipes do tend to be a little ‘soapy’ (as I tried to show in the picture above) BUT I don’t mind it. It does not irritate my skin, and like I said, It really does a good job of cleaning my face with out leaving anything but a clean feeling. The Facial Radiance Pads do a great job of exfoliating and toning my skin, and keeping my complexion clear from break-outs (until that time of the month comes around, then I gotta take out the big guns!).

My last re-purchase is my NYX Butter Gloss. Ohhh how I love me some NYX products! I own about 12 NYX lip products, and my collection keeps growing. The Butter Glosses are great. They are highly pigmented, long-wearing, hydrating and not tacky or sticky on the lips. Best of all, they are super affordable! The shade ‘Merengue,’ pictured above is one of my favorite pinks, it goes with almost every skin tone.

Please share what some of your favorites are, I’d love to hear them.

Have a great day, and thanks for reading!
