Lately I’ve been traveling a lot, so it got me thinking…”What are my must-haves right now for when I travel?”

I rummaged through my halfway unpacked bag ( I just got back from Charleston ), and found the items that I’ve consistently taken with me for my recent stay-cation and travels. Today I’ll be leaving with Tony to Turks & Caicos for my birthday week,  I will definitely be taking these products along!

This travel-sized Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo is awesome! No white residue. No funny smell. No Sticky hair. It’s great to use after I workout, a beach day, anytime I need to freshen up my hair. These ‘Stan Smith’ all white Adidas are my ultimate favorite right now. They are comfortable and cute! They go well with skirts, dresses and cut-off shorts too. The REN Cleansing Balm is great for melting down my makeup. It smells great and leaves my skin super clean. It is also good for all skin types and is NOT formulated with any of the yucky stuff like, parabens, sulphates, mineral oil or synthetic fragrance.

I LOVE these individual protein packets by Perfect Fit! I do try to get some workouts in when I’m away. So to make sure I get enough protein and fuel my body I have to have these! Perfect Protein is plant-based, organic, non-GMO and sugar-free. These packets are just so easy to travel with! I don’t like fussing too much with my makeup when I’m out-and-about. And  liquid lipstick stays on your lips for hours. Stila, in my opinion, makes one of the best liquid lipstick formulas. ‘Baci,’ is the perfect nude pink color and will go with any outfit. Finally, I can’t go anywhere without my Modern Renaissance palette! The shades and the formula of these eyeshadows are just so good!

3 Favorite Superfood Smoothies {Great for Expecting/Nursing Moms too!}

I’m a BIG health-smoothie-makin’-kinda girl (during my pregnancy especially)!
I try to make a nutrition packed smoothie at least 3 times a week.
I’ve been making healthy smoothies consistently for 2-3 years now. I usually rotate between a few basic recipes (like, my go-to: coconut water or unsweetened almond milk, kale and/or spinach, banana and some kind of frozen fruit).
But when I’m looking for inspiration or want to change it up, I refer to the ultimate smoothie book, written by Julie MorrisSuperfood Smoothies.
{This book features 100 nutrient-rich recipes packed full of antioxidants and vitamins.}

A few of my favorites from Superfood Smoothies are:

1. Cherry Vanilla :  2 cups frozen cherries, 2 cups baby spinach, 1 tbsp almond butter, 2 cups coconut water, 1/2 tsp wheatgrass powder, 2 tbsp vanilla extract, sweetener to taste (optional). If you want a Superfood Boost, this recipe suggests to add:  1 tbsp chia seeds

2. Watermelon Cucumber (sooo refreshing!):  4 cups cubed seedless watermelon, 2 cups chopped peeled cucumber, 1 1/2 cups frozen spinach, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp minced fresh basil leaves, 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice, 2 cups ice, sweetener to taste (optional).
Superfood Boost: 1 tsp wheatgrass powder

3.  Raspberry Almond:  2 cups frozen raspberries, 1/4 cup pitted dates, 2 tbsp almond butter, 2 tbsp acai powder, 1 tbsp cacao nibs, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 cups coconut water, 1 cup ice, sweetener (optional).
Superfood Boost:  Use dried mulberries instead of the dates
