Concealer | Eyeshadow Primer | Brightening Setting Powder | Resurfacing Peel | Moisturizing Masque | Face Primer | Mascara | Matte Liquid Lipstick
If I had the time to pick 20 products for my February Faves I would! I have tried many greats last month, I had to narrow it down. I’ll share other products in different posts this month.
If you follow my Instagram, you’ll already know from my post last weekend how much I LOVE the NARS creamy concealers! This made my list because the product goes on so smoothly, it’s buildable, fully covers any dark circles, redness and breakouts. It leaves a beautiful natural finish that lasts all day without creasing or breaking down. If you get the concealer in two different shades, you can use one for highlighting and the other for spot correcting, like I do.
The ‘Shadow Insurance‘ by Too Faced, is a great product if you’re like me, and you struggle with fading or creasing eyeshadow. It’s really helped my eyeshadows perform at their best– they don’t crease, melt or fade. And the primer also helps to neutralize any discoloration my lids have.
Ok, this ‘Raspberry Resurfacing Peel’ is Ahhh-Mazinggg! I’m a skin care junkie as well (duh!) + love me some face masks and scrubs/peels, WHATEVER. I’m so glad I tried this. And you will be too! You only need to use this peel once or twice a week for a couple of minutes. Quick + easy results = heck ya! My skin looks clearer, brighter + feels so smooth after a treatment.
I use the ‘Secret Brightening Powder‘ to set my concealer. It’s so light-weight and adds a pretty luminosity around my eyes.
I’ve been so happy with this hair masque! With just one use I noticed my hair was so soft + smooth. It smells so lovely + has really worked in hydrating my dry, thick, long hair.
I enjoy using this Veil Mineral Primer. I don’t even feel it when it’s on my skin. I used to suffer from my-face-ate-my-makeup syndrome! This mineral-based primer has fixed that problem. And everything that I put on my face goes on much smoother. I suggest you add a primer to your routine if you haven’t already.
My favorite makeup products I love ‘collecting’ are mascaras and lipsticks/glosses. Before trying YSL‘s Voluminous Effect mascara, I used my go-to brand. I decided to try this one because besides the fact that I wanted to try something new, this one seemed promising when I saw it at Sephora. Lately, I’ve had problems with my lashes falling out after having Mason. This mascara has really helped fill in the gaps + make my lashes appear fuller. I prefer thinner brushes and a thicker formula, for dramatic lashes. This one hits all the marks for me- I love it! ‘Shocking’ makes my lashes full, long + thick. It also leaves them looking wet, not matte, which I prefer in a mascara. And again, It’s a thicker formula so it really coats my lashes without making them look clumpy. I also like the thinner brush so that I can really get close to my lash line and work the product through really well.
Finally, this liquid lipstick by Anastasia Beverly Hills is nothing like I’ve ever tried before. It goes on wet and smoothly, then dries down to a matte finish. I used it for the first time when I went to go see the Maroon 5 concert last week. It lasted all night, until I look it off. My husband loved the way it looked on me and how kissable it was-hehe! It did not come off on him or while I ate or drank. It is a full-coverage, highly pigmented formula. I own the shades: ‘Lovely‘ (pictured) + ‘Neon Coral.’
So those are some of my favorites from last month. I hope I gave you some ideas!
